2020 certainly took an unexpected turn and I’m sure none of us were prepared for how our lives would change. It has meant changes to how and where we work, who we can see and socialise with and has even changed how we can do our shopping. Most likely forgotten about amongst all of the madness are the not-for-profit shops and charities. Ironically, these are some of the organisations that need it the most during these strange times and we want to help in any way that we can.

That is why we have decided that for every order that is placed with Winnens before January 20th for a 2021 install, we will donate 10% of the order value to charity. This donation can be made to a charity of your choice or we will donate it to one of our chosen charities.

We’re super excited about being able to help some of the people who need it the most and we wanted to take some time to talk to you about our chosen charities and what they do.

Sue Ryder (Cheltenham Home)

Sue Ryder was founded and named after Lady Sue Ryder. A humanitarian, she was dedicated to the relief of suffering and started her work in WWII, helping people cope with loss as a result of the war. Afterwards, she chose to expand the scope of her work, she started helping people in need of neurological care.

The charity now continues to provide people with the support that they need during the most difficult times of their lives. This includes helping people who are suffering from a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one, or a neurological condition. They have a team of doctors, nurses, and carers who can offer people compassion and expert care to help them live the best life that they can.

They provide palliative and neurological services as well as online bereavement support and we think they are a fantastic charity who do amazing things that we are proud to support.

Midlands Air Ambulance

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates throughout Gloucestershire as well as other counties including, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. It funds three air ambulances that cover these areas as well as two critical care cars, one that operates in Birmingham and another that attends incidents in Worcestershire.

The aim of the charity it to respond to many of the most traumatic incidents such as cardiac arrests, sports injuries, and traffic collisions. The air ambulances can reach remote areas, allowing them to access patients in hard-to-reach locations.

Since 1991 the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity have responded to over 60,000 missions. This is helped by their location, allowing them to reach 90% of the region within eight minutes. A brilliant charity that does amazing work, we are extremely happy to be able to support them.

If you want to help us to help them, book your private showroom visit using our online booking form. For any order placed before 20th January for a 2021 install, we will donate 10% of your order.
